อ้อ... ของแถมนอกเรื่องครับ ตอนต้นรายการผมได้เกริ่นกับคุณจอมขวัญเกี่ยวกับเรื่อง วันสิ้นโลก ด้วย ว่าผมได้ส่งอีเมล์ไปหา ผ.อ. นาซ่า เพื่อฟ้องเรื่อง ก้องภพ มาสร้างความเชื่อผิดๆ ให้คนไทยหวาดกลัว เกี่ยวกับพายุสุริยะทำให้เกิดแผ่นดินไหวด้วย .... เลยเอามาให้ดูกันตรงนี้ แม้ว่าจะไม่คิดว่ามันจะได้ผลซักเท่าไหร่ แต่ก็ขอประท้วงการกระทำของเค้าอย่างเปิดเผยครับ
ถ้าทำได้ ผมก็อยากทำจดหมายล่ารายชื่อ เซ็นส่งไปให้ทางนาซ่าโดยตรงเลย ... แต่คงไม่ค่อยมีใครอยากลงชื่อหาเรื่อง "คนดัง" อย่างนี้มั้ง หึๆ

Dear Mr.Charles F. Bolden, Administrator of NASA,
My name is Dr. Jessada Denduangboripant, a lecturer of Science Faculty, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. I would like to report a serious scientific misconduct of your staff, Dr. Kongpop U-yen. Kongpop is Thai person and a full-time senior design engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in the Microwave Instrument Technology Branch. Even though his work and specialty is nothing about astrophysics, he has been traveled back to Thailand several times in these past two years to give lectures and media interviews about natural disasters (climate disruption, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc. ) caused by solar storms, planet alignments, eclipses and so on. This has stirred great fears for his followers (both honor and lay people) and also given misunderstandings about the effects of solar activities to our Earth. This is an example of his misleading comments about solar storm can cause an earthquake.

"Meanwhile, a veteran Thai engineer working for the US space agency Nasa has warned that a large earthquake could strike in the next one to four days due to solar storms. Dr Kongpop U-yen wrote in his Facebook page that people living near geological fault lines will be especially vulnerable to large-scale earthquakes in the coming days. The world faced an increased likelihood of natural disasters because of massive energy shifts in space as well as the solar storms, which have a significant impact on the global climate and geological conditions, according to Dr Kongpop."
and this is an example of his even worse comments about planet alignment and eclipse can cause a disaster.

"Earlier, Kongpop U-yen, a Thai engineer who works at the US National Aeronatics and Space Administration (Nasa), said the alignment of the planets today could cause natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis. NDWC chief Smith Dharmasarojana agreed with the forecast, saying it was backed by scientific data. He said the alignment would release
considerable cumulative energy, which could affect the Earth.
Mr Smith, quoting Mr Kongpop, said the phenomenon would have a direct impact on the Earth in the forms of climate disruption, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. As to which part of the world would be affected by the disasters, Mr Kongpop said that depended on the time the sun unleashed its energy."
As one of the members of Thai science community, I and many of my colleges have been trying very hard to educate Thai people about the real science of cause-and-effect of natural disasters. The misleading and incorrect information of Kongpop, however, have been televised and strongly believed by many Thai people. I don't understand why he has done such scientific misconduct but surely it must not agree with NASA's policy, especially his hypothesis is totally disagree with what NASA has announced below about the 2012 Doomsday.

But, on the opposite way, Kongpop has kept on reporting misleading information about the relationship between solar activity and earthquakes on his Facebook ( https://th-th.facebook.com/KongpopUyen ) and just has cited a 2007 Russian reference "Solar Activity and Global Seismicity of the Earth" of Odintsov et. al (http://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.3103%2FS1062873807040466 ) which doesn't sound convincing for me.
Last but not least, Kongpop has just come back to Thailand to participate and give a comment in a conference about 2012 Doomsday. Again he still strongly believes about strong activity of the Sun will occur in May-June 2013 while the Earth atmosphere will be thinnest in 50 years and then such
great solar activity will shrink the solar system and cause disasters to Earth.
